Carey Moran – Past President

Carey Moran – Past President

CareyMoranCarey Moran moved to Midland from the GTA in 1989 – and now considers the area "home."

She worked as a reporter with the Free Press for seven years, and freelanced for several local radio stations before landing on the morning show at KICX 106 in 2002.  She has received national recognition for her work at KICX – and is a three time winner of the CCMA (Canadian Country Music Association)  "On-air personality of the Year".

Carey is very active in the community – she has volunteered with numerous charitable organizations and fundraising events, and is an active frundraiser for the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation, Rosewood Shelter, and the KICX 106 Radio for Cardiology campaign.

She lives in a beach community in Tiny Township with her partner Chris and her dog Buddy. She has three grown children – and two grandchildren – who also live in the Midland-Penetanguishene area. Carey loves boating, hot tubs, Scrabble and wine – not necessarily in that order.
